Hi my Name is Florian, Need Help with my Mbed LPC1768 because I have some Problems with the DS18S20.

I connect the PIN1(GND) to GND, PIN2(DQ) to PIN25, PIN3(VDD) to PIN VU and between DQ

and VDD i connect a 4,7KOhm Resistor.

When i connect all this with my Mbed, than the mbed get off!!!

Waht´s wrong??? some of the parts damaged???

My understanding is Pin VU is +5V only when the mbed is plugged into the computer USB port. Is that the issue, i.e. only works when USB plugged in?

I connect like this and it works:

1 -> GND

2 (DQ) -> p23 and Pullup(4k7) -> 3V3(pin40)

3 -> 3V3(pin40)

I have change GND ans VDD

But my New Problem is that i become an Adress but the

"Need to use a Ds18s20 or Ds18b20 for correct results"

Is my ds18s20 dead?
