MBed for Uni - a big thank you!

For my final year project I built an aerobatic flight recorder for gliders. The nerve centre of all this was of course an MBed! I realise its a late thank you (since i graduated in july!) but before i move on to do other things I would like to thank MBed for providing me with one for the project and the community for helping me learn it.

The project, thankfully was a great success. I built and test flew the recorder, recording acceleration in 3axis, pitch and roll rates and overlaying this on a feed from a bullet camera - which was recorded. (i have the videos too if anyone is interested!). I must say i really enjoyed working with the platform, and had a lot of fun experimenting with all kinds of different ideas. my supervisor is now using the built system for gliding instruction and I also won an award for best hardware project at my graduation ceremony. the prize for this was a Farrell voucher, with which i will be buying an mbed of my own and lots of nice toys to add on to it :D

MBed provided boards to my university electronics society when i was in first year. They then came and demonstrated them and gave us a workshop session too. I cannot really thank these guys enough for this, and providing me with the board for my project too. I can safely say now that people who saw me working with it at uni were taken aback by it, and i have most certainly song its praise to my fellow students. you can most certainly expect many more students following in my footsteps and using mbeds!

anyway, ive hung up my soldering iron now and joined the RAF as a pilot but i can assure you there will always be a 1768 in my laptop case ;)

Thanks again!
