I'm doubting that anyone will be able to help me here but I'll post just in case. I'm the advisor to a high school robotics team, and we are attempting to use the mbed platform as the controller to a pair of hockey-playing robots. I'm getting very frustrated because the school system's web filters seem to be blocking access to the mbed compiler page as well as the login page. I notice that if I log in at home and bring my laptop to the school, I stay logged in, but if I try to go to the login page or the compiler page, I get a message that the browser can't establish a connection with the server. I can navigate the blog, forum, etc. without any problems.
I've played with Firefox, Chrome, and IE to be sure it's not browser dependent, but I get the same results with all. Anybody got any ideas on things to try?
I understand that the school board has to protect the system from the most litigious, hypersensitive parents out there, but <rant> we have successfully protected our children from pornography, games, and LEARNING. </rant>
