"Plaigarism" of things that aren't code

This may be a stupid question but if, say, I was to include music in my game, what would count as plagiarism? Do I have to compose every note myself? Does it count as plagiarism if I look at Beethoven's sheet music and convert it into a format playable by the board?

As a generic answer, not normally if you reference/credit the original source. It's only plagiarism if you take credit for someone elses work.

For the specific example given, if this is for an electronics course then you're not being graded on artistic merit only on technical implementation and so the source of the music shouldn't matter even if you forgot to give the appropriate credits.
