mbed online compiler frozen at: Initializing...
As of now, when I try to compile online, I get the status Initializing, and stays there forever. Any other people have the same problem?

Hi all,
Sincerest apologies for this and thanks for your reports. We've now resolved this issue and taken steps to ensure it doesn't happen again.
We're trying to make sure the community has more visibility on such issues and so have made a post on our status page with some more context.

Some of you have expressed interest in having an offline compilation option, I would like to point you to mbed CLI (https://docs.mbed.com/docs/mbed-os-handbook/en/5.1/dev_tools/cli/ ) ( https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiVCejcvpseuWWmJc9uELYww-xindjZCH ). mbed CLI is the tool behind the online compiler that we use for compiling your programs. Using mbed CLI you can trivially move programs between your online repos and offline for development. To bring your code down to your computer simply run `mbed import <URL of Program> and the code will be pulled down to your computer. You can use mbed CLI with windows, OSX or Linux, the compilers for GCC, IAR and Keil are all supported, and if you're interested there is even an `mbed export` option that will let you export your program to Keil, IAR, Eclipse and many other IDE's. In addition mbed CLI works with both mercurial (developer.mbed.org) and git repos (github.com).
Thank you Robert for your suggestion. Before, I was using offline compilation, to avoid the dependence on the cloud service, and it worked fine. Actually, I was using this project https://github.com/adamgreen/gcc4mbed. When I started using mbed's RTOS, the generated program didn't work. The same program compiled in the cloud worked fine. I must have had some problem with the makefile configuration, but I had no time to fix it and I resorted back to the cloud service, till now. I was aware of the CLI mbed option, and it was in my @someday tasks list. What you point out might be the best solution. Thank you and best regards.

Same here, I tried new project, other browser, changing filename etc.. Maybe someone have a quick solution to migrate on eclipse ? \o/

Same happening here. The web is littered with instances of this problem occurring over a period of years. The standard resolution seems to be - just wait, it will go away.
Unfortunately I'm trying to fix a customer outage... and "just waiting" is not a good option for me.

Same issue.....There are any solutions to migrate on eclipse?
As of now, it is working fine. Thank you guys for sharing your issues. I guess this may help mbed support to be aware of the interruptions in the service, and for me, it was helpful to know that it wasn't an specific issue with my program. Best regards.
