er now its weird. i took out this part(line 106), it works but but still have problem

  if (alarmOn == false) {   // if the alarm is currently off

but i want to make it check the pir status every 0.5 sec which will be in the ticker. but i dont want it to send the alarm on/off data to the beaglebone every 0.5 sec also.. only when it the pir detect it will send/ when it off it wil send to the beaglebone.
