RW signal on LCD
Hi, Is the R/W input pin on the hitachi display hard wired to 0V ?, I guess the busy flag is never read, I assume the delays make this possible. It would be great to get confirmation.

The RW is normally not hardwired to GND. In some cases there is a pull.down resistor so that it does not float. You do need to make sure that RW is at low-level for the TextLCD lib and the same applies for my enhanced TextLCD lib.
