USB serial port driver problem windows8

I need to know the serial port number when I connect mbed to my computer windows 8 system. Somehow the device manager shows mbed as a portable device and nothing new shows up at "Port(COM)" tab. Is there a way I can get the serial port number? I know everything works on windows 7...

Hi Xiannan,

Have you installed the following Serial Drivers?

https://developer.mbed.org/handbook/Windows-serial-configuration
