Serial port driver not installing on Windows 8 x64
I tried to install the mbed windows serial port driver by exactly following the steps as outlined on: https://developer.mbed.org/handbook/Windows-serial-configuration.
When executing the installer (mbedWinSerial_16466.exe) and hit "install" on the first dialog, it immediately gives "The driver was installed succesfully". After completing the FRDM-K64F is listed under "Other devices" as "USB_CDC" in the device manager. Properties say "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)"
I have already refreshed the firmware on the K64F and ran the installer with Driver Signature Enforcement disabled, as outlined on: http://www.craftedge.com/tutorials/driver_install_windows8/driver_install_win8.html,
When doing the same exact procedure on my Windows 7 x64 desktop, it works perfectly fine.
