Cheapest way to run uClinux with tiny footprint
I would like to run uClinux with a tiny footprint. What would be the cheapest board to do so? uClinux runs on M3 and M4s, but it needs external RAM - I need 16MB.

Emcraft Systems (www.emcraft.com) sell a number of M3 and M4-based modules with uClinux ported and with comprehensive documentation and a BSP based on the CodeSourcery toolchain.
I have the LPC1788 Evaluation Kit. It works very well. The BSP includes full U-Boot, kernel and Busybox sources, so you can easily customise the system. The toolchain runs on Linux. I use Ubuntu running in s VM on Mac OS X Lion.
The Embedded Artists LPC4088 QSB would be a superb platform on which to run uClinux. Unfortunately, EA do not seem interested in doing the uClinux port. This is a great shame.
