Is my ublox C027 board fried?

Hi,

After reading the quick start info (http://mbed.org/users/ublox/notebook/u-blox-C027-Getting-Started), I was eager to start coding and 'play' with my new toy.

As explained in the guide, the board needs to be supplied with power ranging from 7 V to 17 V @ 900 mA. It is also mentionned that a USB cable has to be connected between the PC and the C027 to download .bin files on the microcontroller disk, as explained here (http://mbed.org/users/ublox/notebook/u-blox-C027-Downloading).

I have been able to bring power to the VIN (see below for power supply picture) pin since the status LED indicated so and to successfully hook it up to my computer. I then wrote a couple of small programs that ran (make the LEDS blink, send printf to serial port, etc) but after a while I started to feel a smell of burnt from the wall wart…I immediately unplugged it for not damaging the board.

I really don't know what happend. The board seems to be damaged since I cannot do anything with. I'm a bit confused now and I would like to know if there something I can do to confirm that it is fried.

Regards, F.
