Trashes have appeared FAQ

Question:

I have noticed the the following files have appeared on my mbed microcontroller: ._.Trashes, .fseventsd, and .Trashes. What are they and where have they come from?

Answer:

These files are written to the board when you plug it into a Mac computer. When you reconnect the board to a Windows PC, they may be visible. They are not harmful and if you do not wish to see them, you can configure Windows not to show them.

In an Explorer window, Tools -> Folder Options -> View

Look under Advanced Settings -> Files and fodlers -> Hidden files and folders and check the "Do not show hidden files and folders"
