I would like to post to the forum to find out a little bit more about mbed before I buy one, but I can't. Why?
While the decision to keep the website "read-only" unless you have an account (and therefore own an mbed) is a little controversial, we stand by this.
Our view is that mbed.org is for the mbed developers, and without and mbed/account, you're not a developer.
We believe that as a result, the forum is a friendly community of people actively working with their mbeds, who post based on their knowledge and experience. The quality of the interaction in the forums is much higher than you might expect from open forums.
For someone wanting to make a purchasing decision, the forums can be read, the handbook is a good reference of the capabilities of mbed, and the cookbook is an interesting showcase of the projects people have been working on. Also, mbed has been reviewed on various other websites, so there is no shortage of opinion and debate.
For specific enquiries, there is support@mbed.org
